FROM THE HANDS OF NAWASHI MURAKAWA

The book of THE TEN WOMEN

The specific theme of this book is Japanese rope bondage with the 'Ten Women'. It is their story. Each of the 'Ten Women' will write their own explicit introduction to their chapter, to describe the powerful emotions and sensations they experienced as they were bound and photographed by Nawashi Murakawa.

Murakawa, as a practising illustrator for over thirty years, has applied his special artistic feeling and understanding of the topic to reveal a sensuous state of masochism. Sometimes erotic, sometimes disturbing. The appeal lies in the diabolical, yet exquisite control of the female mind and body.

The photographs are taken by Nawashi Murakawa himself in a very simple way. Quickly, to capture the essence and change in his subjects. It is his intention to capture this special masochistic beauty before, during and after the 'session' is over, something he understands well. The Mjyo's (female volunteers) he works with, are constantly surprised by the radiance and beauty they have created within themselves when they see their photographs.
